Rachel Pateman holds a PhD in climate change ecology from the University of York. For the last 10 years, she has worked at the Stockholm Environment Institute at the University of York, designing, running and evaluating citizen science projects on a range of topics from sand dune conservation in the UK to waste management in Kenya. She has also conducted research into the relationship between urban green spaces and wellbeing and is interested in how citizen science can be used to both understand and facilitate this relationship.
