Asya Natapov
Asya Natapov is a Lecturer in Urban Planning and Design at the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering, Loughborough University. She joined Loughborough University in 2020, having completed a postdoctoral fellowship as a Marie Curie Researcher at the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment. She is an architect by training and a graduate of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Before her doctoral studies, she worked for several architectural firms in the USA specialising in developing concepts for large-scale urban projects. While working on her doctorate, she was invited to be a guest researcher at the Spatial Cognition Research Centre of Computer Science and Social Research Institute at Freiburg University, Germany. As a research assistant, she has also participated in several projects of the European Commission on Architectural Cultural Heritage.
